INGLOT YSM CREAM FOUNDATION REVIEW

Hey ladies,Time for another review..woop..woop :). Today it's all about inglot ysm cream foundation. To be honest i didn't know much about inglot all i knew was what i heard from beauty guru's on youtube apparently they make awesome eyeshadows that come in a crazy bunch of colors. I'm more of a lipstick girl myself but i decided to give them a shot someday but unfortunately something always stopped me, everytime i travel i see their stands and go thats it today is the day im getting eyeshadows then i get distracted by the many things that distract me ehem Mac lipsticks, cupcakes, you know the drill. Anyway because i've been good this year a magical miracle happened they opened up here in naija and awesomely for me not far from where i stayed so i finally decided to go try their eyeshadows and ended up with everything from eyeliner to foundation.it happens..So today i'm reviewing their foundation i picked up for you. This is how it worked out for me so lets get started..

PACKAGING- This foundation has a really nice travel friendly packaging it comes in a plastic squeeze tube like container with the standard 30ml foundation in it,very travel friendly in my opinion kind of like the chanel vitalumiere aqua i reviewed recently. For clumsy fingers like mine this is awesome.

TEXTURE- The texture is like a BB cream thats the best way i can describe it,its not thick like other foundations its a light creamy consistency. Although it is creamy this is best suited for normal to combination skin, and slightly oily skin types really dry skin still needs to moisturize underneath i find it good for my skin with or without moisturizer as its just like rubbing a light cream on your face.

COVERAGE-The coverage of this foundation is light but can be built up to medium coverage what i love most about this foundation is how easy it blends with your fingers. You just keep touching your face and wondering if you are wearing anything. Most times when i'm in a hurry i apply it with my clean fingers and its just absolutely amazing. The coverage is so natural and blends so well that it feels like you have nothing on. To me this is the perfect everyday foundation just because of how i love the natural coverage and how lovely it blends.Keep in mind this foundation is not for people who have alot to cover if you have alot of acne scarring or prefer a full coverage foundation then skip this. I do have slight spots on my skin but as i don't like the full coverage effect i prefer covering up wit concealer on days when i need to this works great for me.This last for about 6 hours on me before i start getting a bit shiny on my t-zone which seems good especially in hot lagos weather.

SHADE RANGE-This comes in fourteen shades from shade 41 which is the lightest to shade 53 which is the darkest  although i do think with the shade range it covers alot of skin tones even with the number of shades there isn't a color for really dark ebony skin which is sometimes really annoying with most foundations.I was matched to shade 51 and it blends well even though at first the sales assistant did apply so much to my face i was wondering what was happening wonder why they do that who wears that much foundation and concealer on their face everyday sigh.

INGREDIENTS- Here are the ingredients for the foundation.Inglot products are paraben free if that is an issue for you and also cruelty free meaning they don't test on animals which is something i respect the brand alot for :).

MY EXPERIENCE- This foundation has become my everyday foundation I love the natural results, the fact that it isn't too oily.I can wear this without a powder and i'll be fine.It blends easy and sets to a semi matte finish and another plus for me is the fact that it hasn't broken me out but every skin type has different sensitivities so keep that in mind when using this.I love the texture also.So totally a love love love for me.

FINAL THOUGHTS-These are the final thoughts on the foundation and don't forget to check below for the photo's and swatches.

BEST FOR
Those wit normal, combination to oily skin.
Those who like a semi-matte or slightly dewy natural finish to foundations
Those who prefer light to medium coverage foundation.
Those looking for an easy blendable everyday foundation its great for beginners starting with using foundation.
Those who prefer foundations without SPF.
Those who have sensitive skin most people with sensitive skin who have used this foundation did not complain about breaking out although every skin type is different keep that in mind.

SKIP IF-
You prefer full coverage foundation
You prefer foundations with SPF
You have extremely dry skin (although you can moisturize before using this).
You have extremely oily skin.

RETAIL PRICE- I can't remember the exact price i got it for at inglot but it
retails for $18 on their US website which is approximately 3,123 naira.I'll update this as soon as i get the actual price.

CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA SKIN PERFECTING MAKEUP REVIEW

Wow..What a long name isn't it.This is the review for chanels vitamuliere aqua foundation.Like every girl i go crazy when i hear chanel and given that i had tried one of their powder foundations once which for some reason they discontinued i think cos i couldn't find it anywhere i decided to give this a try. I watch a lot of youtube makeup tutorials and every one kept hyping this foundation i thought i'll just go ahead and give it a try.So on one of my trips i saw a chanel counter n boom i was like yep today is going to be the day lol.I got it and have had it for some months now and this is my take on how its worked for me so far and what i think about it.

PACKAGING-This foundation has really nice packaging which the practical woman in me loves. It comes in a light squeeze tube that is perfect for travelling and makes it easy to dispense product. It contains the standard 30ml of most foundations.

TEXTURE-First of all this foundation is water based so its very liquidy you have to shake it up really well before using or else the pigment separates and you end up with a goopy mess. This is not a moisturizing foundation it is best suited for normal to combination skin,if you have dry skin i suggest you skip this as it has a tendency to accentuate pores and texture issues such as flakiness.

COVERAGE-The coverage is very light and it has this floral scent to it so if you don't like the fragrance in your makeup i suggest you skip this. This is not for people who have any acne marks or blemishes to cover because when they say natural they really mean it its like a teeny bit better than a tinted moisturizer in coverage its for those days when you really don't want to wear too much foundation its a classic everyday foundation. It also contains SPF 15 thus making it suitable as an everyday foundation.

SHADE RANGE-The shade range is very limited too no shades for really dark skinned beauties. It comes in ten(10) shades which are divided into two groups BEIGE (B) and BEIGE ROSE (BR). As the name implies the beige shades are for people with beige undertones while the Beige Rose shades are for people with pink undertones. The shades are-B10,BR12,B20,BR22,B30,BR32,B40,BR42,B50, and BR52.

INGREDIENTS- Active ingredients - OCTINOXATE 6%,TITANIUM DIOXIDE 5.6%.
Inactive ingredients -AQUA (WATER), METHYL TRIMETHICONE, ALCOHOL, DIMETHICONE, PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, TALC, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, ISODODECANE, POLYMETHYLSILSESQUIOXANE, ACRYLATES/POLYTRIMETHYLSILOXYMETHACRYLATE COPOLYMER, POLYMETHYL METHACRYLATE, PEG-10 DIMETHICONE, STEARIC ACID, DIMETHICONE/PEG-10/15 CROSSPOLYMER, ALUMINA, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, PHENOXYETHANOL, C9-15 FLUOROALCOHOL PHOSPHATE, MAGNESIUM SULFATE, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), NELUMBO NUCIFERA FLOWER WATER, METHYLPARABEN, TRIETHOXYCAPRYLYLSILANE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, SILICA, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL, POLYURETHANE-15, BHT, LAMINARIA DIGITATA EXTRACT, TOCOPHEROL, PROPYLPARABEN, ETHYLPARABEN [+/-(MAY CONTAIN) CI 77007 (ULTRAMARINES), CI 77491, CI77492, CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), MICA].
This foundation contains a high amount of alcohol and fragrance as such i don't recommend this for sensitive skin.

MY EXPERIENCE- Well, first of all the counter i went to matched me to a shade that was too pink secondly i always forget to do the shake shake thing so it usually separates and i find it hard to blend, thirdly it did not last as i expected it to on my face and did not cover as much as i wanted and the final deal breaker for me was that it broke me out since my skin is sensitive and  slightly dry that must be due to the fragrance, alcohol or some ingredient in it.

FINAL THOUGHTS- So far this is my take on this foundation:

BEST FOR-
Those with normal to combination skin without textural issues.
Those who need a light coverage everyday foundation
Those who don't have sensitive skin
Those who don't react to fragrance and alcohol.
Those who are lucky not to have dehydrated skin.

SKIP IF-
You have sensitive, dry or dehydrated skin
You have large pores or flakiness or any textural issues
You don't like fragranced products
You prefer medium to full coverage foundation.

Retail Price- $45 (Thats about 7,967 Naira approximately 8000 Naira).

Hear are the photos and swatches of the foundation-

CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA SPF 15
CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA
CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA
(As you can see after squeezing from the tube without shaking well i got a dollop of the pigment and it looks like lotion)

CHANEL VITALUMIERE AQUA (This is the foundation after shaking it has a watery, liquidy texture)

After slight blending as you can see the shade is a little too pink for me, I was matched to shade 42 Beige Rose.

Here's my random pic of today...CHOCOLATE BROWNIE and ICECREAMMMM do i need to say more lol

That's all for today ladies, thanks for stopping by and remember Be you, Be confident. Its just makeup :)

MAC RUBY WOO REVIEW AND SWATCHES

Hi ladies, welcome to another review..drumroll please..This is going to be a review for MAC's cult favourite lipstick Ruby woo. This lipstick is described as a retro matte blue based red.Read on for my full take on this lipstick.

SHADE-This is a blue-based Red lipstick and what do we love about blue based reds. They make your teeth look whiter ;) isn't that a huge plus. The shade looks amazing against alot of skintones infact i've never met anyone that ruby woo doesn't look good on but you could still prove me wrong by attaching a pic of someone who doesn't look good in it and i'll give you a virtual hug as compensation for being wrong lol

PIGMENTATION-Ruby woo is opaque with one swipe you get amazing color payoff and it usually leaves a slight stain behind on my lips after fading.

TEXTURE-Matte,Matte,Matte...Really this is as matte as it gets, its not an issue for me though since i love matte reds and i think because its matte it makes it cling on to my lips longer but if you have extremely dry lips i suggest you apply a non shiny lip balm and wait a few minutes before applying this something like EOS lipbalm would work great.

LONGEVITY-This lipstick is really matte and opaque so it lasts more than 5 hours usually on my lips.Even if it doesn't last that long for you it does have great lasting power and leaves a stain behind when it wears off.

SUMMARY-Ruby woo is a fabulous Red lipstick which works on a variety of skintones both light and dark.If you were to get one Red lipstick for your collection i'll suggest you get this. Its become my go to Red.

Here are some pictures and swatches of the lipstick.
